The six Alien Stage contestants plus the Rebellion members around them, each caught between two worlds — the original Alien Stage and its zombified AU. Every profile below is updated the moment VIVINOS releases new material.
Mizi

Mizi is the first Alien Stage participant and the closest thing the series has to a protagonist. She sings "My Clematis" against Sua in Round 1 and wins. She is also the lead of Zombie Stage Round 1, where she is a zombified idol singing "Candy Scar" — again against Sua, and again the one who wins — this time by a single point.

Sua
수아C!naH · 23 · 158 cm (5'2")
Sua is Mizi's opponent in Round 1 of Alien Stage and the first contestant the series kills. She loses "My Clematis" to the person she loves. In Zombie Stage she loses Round 1 again — by one point — and her arm is cut off and sold to the audience.

Till
틸AKUGETSU · 21 (28 after the timeskip) · 178 cm (5'10")
Till is the third Alien Stage participant, introduced in Round 2, where he wins against Acorn with "Unknown (Till The End…)". He is described by VIVINOS as the most sensitive and timid of the contestants and has the lowest mental strength in the art book — and he is also the one still alive at the end, seven years later, still looking for the people he lost.

Ivan
이반PARK BYEONG HOON · 22 · 186 cm (6'1")
Ivan is the fourth Alien Stage participant, introduced in ALIEN STAGE: Prologue. He wins Round 3 with "Black Sorrow", then faces Till in Round 6 with "Cure" — the round he deliberately throws so that Till survives one more time. Raised in the slums and bought by Anakt Garden on February 14th, he spends his whole life building a cheerful mask over a fatalistic belief that nothing he does can change his ending.

Hyuna

Hyuna is a former idol who becomes the leader of the Rebellion after Jacob's death. She never fights a round in the tournament — she attacks it from outside, singing "All-in" over the Rebellion's assault on Anakt Garden. She has more solo songs than any other character in the series.

Luka

Luka is the fifth Alien Stage participant, introduced in Round 5 after winning an unseen fourth round against Durian. He is the highest-graded contestant in the series (S+) and the one who reaches the Final Round against Till — and, like Till, he is still alive when the series ends.

Isaac

Isaac is a member of the Rebellion — not an Alien Stage contestant. He is Jacob's younger brother, an older-brother figure to Dewey, and one of the few characters who survives the series. He first appears in All-in and returns through Round 6, Wiege, Karma and the Patreon comics.

Pink corner
Mizi · 미지
A former K-Pop idol turned Zombie Idol. She sings "Candy Scar" against Sua in Round 1 and wins by a single point. As an idol she withdrew from Sua — in the MV she takes Sua's bouquet and immediately hands it to a staff member. On the zombie stage she performs a loud, clumsy, cutesy persona instead.
Indigo corner
Sua · 수아
Sua deliberately infected herself with the zombie virus — with a kiss — so that the outbreak could not separate her from Mizi. She sings "Candy Scar" against Mizi in Round 1 and loses by a single point; her arm is then cut off and sold to the public. She is at peace with it.
