Alien Stage / Zombie Stage — Next Round Release Date

The single most-asked question on this site: when does the next one drop?

Short answer, as of 28 July 2026: no release date exists for anything. What follows is everything that is actually on the record, plus the real historical gaps so you can calibrate your own expectations instead of trusting a fan countdown.

TL;DR

• Round 7 is not upcoming. It already released, in October 2024, as the Final Round.
• The main series last released Karma on 27 June 2025. It was intended to close the story.
• On 5 April 2026, Kang confirmed that more episodes are coming in both the main universe and the alternate ones. That is the entire announcement.
• Zombie Stage Round 1 released 26 June 2026. A second episode is expected during 2026. No date.
• The most recent Zombie Stage release is not an episode at all — it is Ache, a 19-page comic posted 17 July 2026.

Round 7 already happened

This one trips people up constantly, so it gets its own section.

The Alien Stage tournament ran Round 1, Round 2, Round 3, an unaired Round 4, Round 5, Round 6, and then the Final Round — which is Round 7. It is Till against Luka, sung to Blink Gone, and it released on 25 October 2024.

Two episodes came after it: Wiege on 14 February 2025 and Karma on 27 June 2025. So if you searched for “Alien Stage Round 7 release date” expecting something upcoming, what you actually want is the episode watch order — you have three episodes to catch up on, not one to wait for.

There is also no Round 4 to look for. It happened in-universe — Luka beat Durian — and was never animated.

Zombie Stage Round 2

Zombie Stage Round 1 released on 26 June 2026. A second episode is expected during 2026. That is the extent of it: no date, no title, no matchup, no cast.

Open questions that a second episode would answer, phrased as questions because none of them have been announced:

• Does Ivan get a track? He appears in Round 1 with no role.
• Does Hyuna get one? Same situation.
• Does Hia, Sua’s older sister, appear? She has a profile and no appearance.
• Does Sua perform again with one arm?

That is all of it. No round counts, no AU counts, no production status, no window. If you see a claim that Round 2 is “written and in animation,” or that the AU is planned for a specific number of rounds, it is not sourced.

What that actually shows:

1. A full episode takes three to seven months when the series is in an active run.
2. The gap before Zombie Stage was a year — the longest in the series, which is what you would expect for launching a new universe from scratch.
3. There is no fixed cadence. Two of these gaps are measured in days. Do not extrapolate a date from an average.

Where an announcement would appear

Not predictions — just the channels that have carried every previous release:
