Zombie Stage Comic & Fan Translations: Where to Read

The Zombie Stage companion comic by VIVINOS lives on Patreon. This is the field guide to the official source, verified community English / Spanish / Chinese / Japanese translations, and how to spot re-uploads that mistranslate.

Alongside the episodes, VIVINOS publishes short comics — posted free on the official ALIEN STAGE account on X, on no fixed schedule, with official English translations going up on Patreon. There is exactly one Zombie Stage comic so far, and this is the field guide to it and to everything around it.

TL;DR

  • The Zombie Stage comic is called Ache. 19 pages, posted 17 July 2026. Mizi and Sua. Content warning. We annotate it page by page on /comics/ache/.
  • Official English translation: on VIVINOS’s Patreon. Cite that one.
  • Where comics are posted: the official ALIEN STAGE account on X, free, irregularly.
  • Community translations into Spanish, Chinese and Japanese circulate on Discord, Weibo and X. Useful, but check them against the official English version where one exists.
  • Do not trust anonymised Tumblr / Weibo re-uploads with no credit — mistranslations from those chains have already leaked into fandom-canon.

Ache — the Zombie Stage comic

  • Posted: 17 July 2026, on the official ALIEN STAGE account on X.
  • Length: 19 pages.
  • Characters: Mizi and Sua, in the Zombie Stage universe.
  • Official English translation: on VIVINOS’s Patreon.
  • Content warning: it ships with one. Treat it as the same register as the episode, or heavier.

It is the only Zombie Stage comic released to date. If you see a page attributed to “the Zombie Stage comic” that is not from Ache, it is either from the main series or it is fan work.

We have annotated all nineteen pages — the beats, the lines and what they change about Round 1 — on Ache, page by page. The full catalogue with dates now lives at /comics/.

The wider comic catalogue

The comics are mostly short side stories, not a serialised arc. A partial list of the named ones, newest first:

| Comic | Posted | | --- | --- | | Ache (Zombie Stage) | 17 July 2026 | | Anakt Arts High School Film Club (AU) | 5 June 2026 | | Remember Everything. | 18 July 2025 | | Scars | 11 July 2025 | | The Witch’s Decision | 4 July 2025 | | My fragile god, fading fast | 13 June 2025 | | The True Face | 6 June 2025 | | Arise and Walk | 21 February 2025 | | Our Diva | 10 January 2025 | | Traces | 8 November 2024 | | Heavenly Garden | 2 October 2024 |

Plus a long tail of untitled one-page comics and the recurring OFF THE RECORD strips. My fragile god, fading fast is the one worth reading first if you came from Zombie Stage — it is where Mizi’s mother appears in the main series.

None of it is required to follow the episodes. All of it deepens them.

English translations

Official English translations go up on Patreon. Where one exists, use it. For everything else, the community versions worth following:

  • r/AlienStage on Reddit — largest English-language hub. Look for posts tagged [COMIC] or [ZOMBIE STAGE]. Verified translators use flair; ignore anonymous re-posts.
  • Alien Stage translator Discord servers. Two active servers coordinate weekly translation drops. Invites rotate — check the subreddit sidebar for the current link.
  • Twitter / X: track #zombiestage and #vivinos with quote-tweet chains that credit the original Patreon page. Chains that don’t credit are usually re-uploads.

Rule of thumb: if a translated page does not link back to the original VIVINOS post, treat it as unverified. Machine-translated re-uploads have already introduced small errors that fandom-canon has partially absorbed — being source-strict matters.

Other languages

  • Spanish (Español): community translations in Alien Stage Discord servers and pinned Twitter/X threads. Volume is high; quality varies. Cross-reference two translators when possible.
  • Chinese (中文): Weibo and Bilibili host the largest CN-language fandom. Comic pages are typically translated within 48h of a Patreon drop. Bilibili also mirrors official YouTube uploads legally.
  • Japanese (日本語): smaller but active community, primarily on Twitter/X. Alien Stage’s Japanese fandom has grown considerably with Zombie Stage; expect Round 2 to accelerate coverage.

If you maintain an active translation set in a language not listed here, mail us — we credit and link translation hubs when they source directly from VIVINOS’s Patreon.

How to avoid bad re-uploads

Three quick tests before trusting a comic page you found on the wider internet:

  1. Does it credit VIVINOS’s Patreon or Twitter/X post? If not, downgrade trust. VIVINOS actively watermarks pages, and legit translation groups keep the watermark visible.
  2. Do character names match this site’s spellings? Mizi, Sua, Till, Ivan, Hyuna, Luka. Any variant spelling (Mitzi, Sooa, Til, Hyona) is either an old machine translation or a re-upload chain that has drifted.
  3. Is the translated line consistent with the OST subtitles? VIVINOS’s YouTube subtitles are the single canonical English source. If a comic panel translation contradicts the subtitle for the same scene, prefer the subtitle.

None of these are perfect filters, but running all three catches most bad translations before they mislead you.

FAQ

The FAQ below covers the questions we get most about the comic — hit any row to expand.

Frequently asked

Is the Zombie Stage comic free? +

The comics themselves are posted free on the official ALIEN STAGE account on X. Patreon carries the official English translations plus process material. The video episodes are free on YouTube.

Where can I read the Zombie Stage comic in English? +

Officially. Ache, the Zombie Stage comic posted 17 July 2026, has an official English translation on VIVINOS's Patreon. Community translations also circulate on r/AlienStage and Discord, but the Patreon version is the one to cite.

Is there a Spanish translation? +

Yes — community-run. Spanish translations circulate through Alien Stage Discord servers and Twitter/X. See the Other languages section below.

Does the comic spoil the video Rounds? +

The comics generally sit alongside the episodes rather than ahead of them — side stories, birthdays, backstory. Ache is set in the Zombie Stage universe and ships with a content warning; read it after Round 1.

Can I re-upload the comic to Tumblr / Weibo / Twitter? +

Link to the original post rather than re-hosting it. Translations that credit and link back to the official X post or Patreon page are the norm in this fandom; uncredited full re-uploads are not.
